Wild Animals Quiz: Big Cats, Elephants, Wolves, and the Big Five

Quizoland's wild animals quiz brings together eighty-nine verified questions on the great mammals of the savanna, forest, and mountains. Lions, tigers, leopards, cheetahs, wolves, bears, gorillas, elephants, rhinos: you'll find the stars of nature documentaries here, plus the African Big Five and a few endangered species. This page belongs to the animals quiz hub and focuses specifically on terrestrial wildlife, with three difficulty levels ranging from grade-school easy to hardcore fan.

Big Cats, from Lions to Snow Leopards

Big cats make up a good chunk of the quiz. You'll tackle questions on tigers, the largest big cat in the world, cheetahs, the fastest land animal at around 110 km/h, and lions, the only big cat that lives in prides. The hard level pushes further: do you know how many tiger subspecies the IUCN has recognized since 2017, or why cheetahs can't roar? The snow leopard, the ghost cat of Asia's high mountains, is also on the menu.

Wolves, Bears, Primates, Elephants, and Rhinos

The rest of the quiz covers the other big wild animals: the gray wolf and its subspecies (including the Iberian wolf), the Arctic's polar bear, the gorilla — the largest living primate — and the chimpanzee, our closest genetic relative. On the pachyderm side, you'll cover the African elephant and its 22-month gestation period, plus the five rhino species, including the Javan rhino, today the most endangered large mammal on the planet. And of course, the African Big Five: lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo.
