Zelda Quiz: Dive Into the Legend of Hyrule
Since 1986, The Legend of Zelda has built one of the richest universes in video games. At Quizoland, 9 Zelda quizzes bring together 90 verified questions on the saga: Link and his green tunic, Princess Zelda, Ganon and the Triforce, the three golden goddesses Din, Nayru, and Farore, plus the major entries — Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword, Breath of the Wild, and Tears of the Kingdom. Three difficulty levels, from casual fan to Hyrule veteran.
Link, Zelda, and Ganon: The Eternal Triangle
Each game replays the same basic story in its own way: a silent hero takes on evil to save a princess who inherited the power of Wisdom. Link bears the Triforce of Courage, Zelda the Triforce of Wisdom, and Ganondorf the Triforce of Power. The quizzes test your knowledge of the supporting characters who revolve around them: Zora Princess Ruto, the Kokiri of the forest, the Gorons of Death Mountain, the Sheikah guardians of the royal secrets, and Fai, the spirit of the Goddess Sword in Skyward Sword.
From Ocarina of Time to Tears of the Kingdom
The saga is dotted with cult classics. Ocarina of Time (1998) redefined 3D adventure on the Nintendo 64. Majora's Mask (2000) introduced its 72-hour cycle. Breath of the Wild (2017) reopened Hyrule as an open world with 120 Shrines and 4 Divine Beasts. Tears of the Kingdom (2023) extended exploration to the sky islands and the depths. The questions cover release dates, game mechanics, Koji Kondo's music, and iconic items — the ocarina, the Hookshot, the paraglider, and Ultrahand.
A Timed Format for a Change of Pace
Want to spice things up? The same themes can also be played as a chronological quiz, where you put the saga's games in release order, or as a free-response quiz, with no answer choices shown. Two cross-topic formats that are handy for checking how well you really know Hyrule's timeline.
Score, Timer, Overall Leaderboard
Every quiz is timed. Your best score counts toward the Quizoland overall leaderboard, across all topics. If you want to come back every day without having to think about what to play, the daily quiz offers a rotating selection — sometimes Zelda, sometimes something totally different.
Hyrule, the Triforce, and the Official Timeline
The timeline published by Nintendo in Hyrule Historia (2011) splits the saga into three branches after Ocarina of Time: the Child Timeline (Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess), the Adult Timeline (Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks), and the Fallen Hero Timeline (A Link to the Past, Oracle of Seasons, the original Zelda). The hard quizzes dig into these details — so you'll want to know what to expect before you start. One last tip: keep an eye on the daily quiz, since Zelda comes back regularly.
